So, for example, if you are in the key of C; C is 1, D is 2, E is 3, F is 4, etc... That way when you are trying to play in a different key, the numbers will always stay the same no matter what key you are playing in and that will help you transpose at a faster pace! • Got a question for one of our instructors?? It’s always a tough subject when a student needs to learn drums but is only limited to certain areas or time frames that they can practice due to loud noise levels. Well, Aquarian has recently come out with pads that can quickly be taken on and off of a kit that allow you to practice pretty much anywhere. They reduce noise level close to 70% and Aquarian has made an effort keep the feel as close as possible to the real thing! This way, you can practice quietly on your kit without purchasing an e-kit. 🤗 Allow @brian_collinswag to demonstrate in this video. • Thank you @aquariandrumheads ‼️ • 🎶🥁A post shared by Music Lab - Rocklin/Roseville (@musiclabrocklin) on Oct 28, 2019 at 12:25pm PDT View this post on Instagram Performing a jazzy tune called “Five Brothers” by Gerry Mulligan. • Unlike learning classical music, Kevin is actually reading this tune off of something called a lead sheet. In classical music, you only read the music note for note. In jazz, you often times use a lead sheet where the chords are written out along with just a melody line for guidance. Everything else is improvisation as Kevin demonstrates here! • 🎶🎹A post shared by Music Lab - Rocklin/Roseville (@musiclabrocklin) on Oct 26, 2019 at 12:57pm PDT View this post on Instagram Today we have Brian Curtin helping us understand how a triad ties into the number is strings on the guitar! • Have a musical question for someone like @brian_curtin that you want answered?
