Patrick Shelley
Schedule: Mon | Tue
Patrick started playing drums at the age of six when his father told his sister and him to choose an instrument to learn. He took lessons for a few years and continued to practice diligently in their living room. Patrick started playing shows around Sacramento when he was in junior high school and upon entering high school he joined the school jazz band. During his senior year, Patrick went on his first tour of the west coast and shortly after graduating went on his first full US tour with punk rock band Final Summation. He continued to tour and record in a very eclectic mix of bands and eventually decided to go to Berklee College of Music in Boston. While at Berklee, Patrick studied jazz and the exploration of time with one of his musical heroes, Kenwood Dennard. He also performed in jazz ensembles with other students from Berklee and the New England Conservatory. When Patrick moved to San Francisco in the summer of 2017, he became very active in the Bay Area music scene and in the spring of 2019, played the South By Southwest music festival in Austin Texas with indie-rock band Baseball Gregg. Patrick continues to keep busy performing and recording with artists such as So Much Light, Baseball Gregg and Boy Romeo. Other drummers Patrick has studied with include: Tim Metz, David Garibaldi and Thomas Pridgen.
