Ava Branson
Ava has always loved music from the very first time she watched Little Einsteins to her college auditions at Sacramento State, where she is majoring in Early Childhood Development and English with a minor in music. She has lived all over the world as a military child and has become extremely adaptable as a result. Her favorite place she’s lived is Guam. She began guitar lessons as a 12 year old and quickly began playing and singing together. She later took piano lessons as well.
Throughout high school she has been participating in the advanced show choir at her school, Sierra Serenade. Ava has attended four show choir competitions in the last three years and has held three different leadership positions: media manager, soprano section leader, and Minister of Culture, which is closest to a president! She has also been a TA for the Choir I class and has directed and choreographed several times for this choir. She also helps with the larger middle school choir and has completed AP Music Theory. Other accomplishments include being the lead at the kids’ choir camp at her school, and teaching the 5-7 age group!
Her dream is to be a teacher and make an impact on the people she works with and is always excited for a new challenge! She was awarded the Founder’s Scholarship at her school(nominated by her choir director) for being a great teacher and for her ability to make people feel included.
