Born in Sacramento, Aaron first became interested in the trumpet at the age of 14. Shortly after picking up the trumpet, he discovered the music of Lee Morgan and Clifford Brown and decided to pursue music as a Jazz Performance major at California State University: Sacramento. While at CSUS, Aaron performed in a variety of different ensembles including the Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Latin Ensemble, Jazz Combos as well as the award-winning 1:30 Jazz Ensemble led by Dr. Steve Roach. Aaron is also an active freelance musician in the Sacramento area playing with groups such as Element Brass Band, Ideateam, Hip Service, Shawn Thawaites Rebel Quartet (STRQ) and the Harley White Jr. Orchestra. Aaron has experience as a Music Instructor at Cazadero Performing Arts Camp as well as experience as a clinician and private instructor in the Sacramento area. Aaron has also toured all over the world with recent break-out artist Hobo Johnson. Aaron adds the perfect combination of education and actual touring musical experience into the lesson room.
